It was a great match, really enjoyable and easy going. I had a clean timed fire target and a decent .45 NMC slow fire. But 1911 is still killing me, I really can’t shoot sustained fire with it. Well, I do have some ideas, but it is a very long shot (pun intended!)

In other news – my Raw Deal Project is making more progress. The bluing is ok, although there are some spots that didn’t take bluing well. The trigger is too heavy and needs more work, and the grip safety is catching on the trigger bow. I’ll take care of all this next week and see how it performs on the Ransom rest.
